Redux ROT Impact Score — rotimpact.com · Last updated June 2026

This page explains the rules for using the free ROT Impact Score calculator. We've kept it short on purpose. How we handle data is covered in our Privacy Commitments, which are part of these Terms.

1. Acceptance & business use

By using the ROT Impact Score tool (the “Tool”) at rotimpact.com, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Tool.

The Tool is provided by Skynet Resources Group(“we,” “us”), the operator of Redux. It is intended for business and professional use — you're using it on behalf of an organization to estimate data waste. By using it you confirm you're at least 18 and authorized to act for that organization. The Tool is free; no account is required.

2. Your license to use the Tool

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tool for your own internal business purposes — running estimates and reading your results. This license doesn't transfer any ownership of the Tool to you.

3. Acceptable use

The Tool runs on shared infrastructure and applies rate limits. To keep it available for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Tool, its pages, or its outputs;
  • Submit data through automated scripts, bots, or bulk/automated submissions;
  • Attempt to bypass, overwhelm, or reverse-engineer rate limits or other technical controls;
  • Probe, attack, or disrupt the Tool's security or infrastructure;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Tool or access to it;
  • Use the Tool unlawfully or submit data you don't have the right to submit.

We may apply rate limits, block requests, or suspend access if we reasonably believe this section is being violated. For how rate-limiting works technically, see the Privacy Commitments.

4. Your inputs & the Benchmark aggregate license

Your inputs. To produce an estimate, the Tool stores the figures you enter — storage volume, spend, industry, and company size. If you optionally provide an email, company name, or job title, that information auto-deletes after 365 days. You keep ownership of what you submit.

The Benchmark license — please read.This is the one part of these Terms that goes beyond “just run my numbers,” so we spell it out:

  • We create anonymized aggregatesfrom submissions — combinations of industry, company-size range, and ROT %. They contain no identifying information and are never linked back to you or your organization.
  • We publish these aggregates in a free, public quarterly “ROT Impact Benchmark” report.
  • To protect against re-identification we apply a k-anonymity floor of 5 — no aggregate is published unless at least five distinct submissions sit behind it.
  • Anonymized aggregates are retained indefinitely, including in past Benchmark reports, even after your raw inputs are deleted or you exercise a deletion right.

By using the Tool, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to create, use, retain, and publish these anonymized aggregates as described above. This license survives termination and is the basis on which the free Tool is offered. It applies only to anonymized, aggregated, non-identifying data — never to your raw inputs or any PII.

5. Intellectual property

The Tool, the ROT Impact Score methodology, the Benchmark reports, and all related software, text, and design are owned by Skynet Resources Group and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you the limited license in Section 2 and nothing more — no rights to our name, branding, methodology, or code are transferred. The estimate the Tool generates for you is yours to use internally.

6. Estimates only — no advice, no warranty

The ROT Impact Score is a modeled estimate. Every output is generated by a model from the inputs you provide and the assumptions built into it (see the Methodology). It is not a measurement, an audit, financial advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of savings or outcomes.

  • Don't rely on it as the sole basis for any business, financial, procurement, or compliance decision. Validate against your own data and professional advisors.
  • The Tool is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant the Tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate is accurate or complete.

7. Limitation of liability

The Tool is free. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Tool or any estimate.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims relating to the Tool is limited to USD $1,000.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect data is described in our Privacy Commitments, incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: country-level geo analytics only, no tracking cookies, and we will never send you marketing email.

9. Your GDPR / CCPA rights

Depending on where you are, you may have rights over personal data you provide — including the right to access or delete it. We provide a GDPR Article 17 (“right to be forgotten”) deletion endpoint; details and the full list of rights (including California / CCPA rights) are on the Privacy Commitments page.

Deletion rights apply to your raw inputs and any PII. They do not reach the anonymized, non-identifying aggregates already published in Benchmark reports (Section 4), because those no longer constitute your personal data.

Subprocessors. We use a small set of infrastructure providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), and Upstash (rate-limiting).

10. Termination

You can stop using the Tool at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time — for example, if you breach these Terms or to protect the Tool — and we may modify or discontinue the Tool. Sections that by their nature should survive (including the Benchmark license in Section 4, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Tool evolves. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be flagged on this page. Continuing to use the Tool after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Tool will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
